hi, ive just had my car serviced and the garaged identified an exhaust blow that they belive to be a cracked manifold, does anyone know how much of a power loss this causes? the car is a 1996 honda prelude jdm 2.2 vtec which is ~200bhp (or was when it was new lol)
im just interested to know what kinda power loss (in bhp) this would cause as the car would have been like this when i got it, i dont need ppl to tell me it neds fixing i know that lol, just wondering what kinda power gain i shud expect when its fixed

2003 Hyundai Sonata. do i need a specific steering wheel hub other than that it has to be 6 point hub to fit my jdm wheel or can a generic hub fit? if i need a specific one where can i find one?

Will they both replace my shocks? why is the first one so much cheaper?

ok…bear with me. I have a 93 civic hatch CX. under the hood I currently have a jdm D15B. The current cylinder head is a pm3-5(i think this head is out of like a 91 civic SI? some info on the head would also be great). And the ecu I currently have now is for the stock CX ecu code # p05. I just picked up a head off of a 95 civic SI for free off of my buddy head code P08. Ironically this is the orginal head that is supposed to be on the jdm D15B(i didnt know this before i got it.) I understand that i will need to have ecu P28 but how do i wire in vtec??? i understand i need a vtec solenoid.
Also if there is any thing else i may need to properly run this set up let me know. thanks

I have a 2003 hyudai sonata. i was already told that to remove the wheel i will need to disconnect the battery for some time due to having an air bag. I already have the steering wheel. some sites are telling me i need an additional hub of some sort. others tell me i dont. i dont wanna take the wheel off and have to need a hub if i dont have one on hand. thanks in advance for the help.

Hey hey there! Just wanted some of your opinions on what car I should get next.
So, let’s start off with what I have at the moment.
1.)Nov ‘04 JDM Honda Accord 24S (Pearl White)
2.)Mar ‘07 Honda CR-V 2.0i-VTEC (Opal Beige)
3.)Dec ‘07 BMW 530i (Monaco Blue)
Not that much of a budget, and I’m thinking of selling the Accord. If I sell the Accord, I will get two cars, but if I don’t I’ll only get one car.
I’m currently looking at the Honda Civic 1.8S (RM114,000), Toyota Corolla Altis 1.8G Sporty (RM120,000), Volvo S40 2.4i (RM185,000), a grey-import brand new 2008 Honda CR-V 2.4i-VTEC (RM198,000), Volkswagen Passat 2.0 TFSI (RM233,000).
If you have any other ideas like what other then the cars mentioned above to buy, please do comment!

I just installed my JDM D15B and EX tranny yesterday, had overheating problems so i flushed my radiator now its fine.Then i had to tighten my timing belt pulley. A few hours later i took it out to test the speed. I was doing this on my way to my friends house in the hills 2 miles away so i got there my car was fine.He took it out for a test drive then turned it off and half an hour later i went to turn it on…HUGE GRINDING NOISE(very loud)..i couldnt shift at all into any gear from neutral. At 1000 rpms the noise would be faster and less nouisy, but at 600 rpms it would get louder…every time i depressed the clutch it got louder..my idiot friend tried to slam it in 4th gear to get it unstuck..but it got stuck…so i forced it into neutral(i had it towed)…it shifts fine while off but when i turn it on i cant..i later find out theres no tranny oil so i fill it.still same noise..and im using my old worn clutch. My gears grind when my car is standing still and i try to shift in first

I converted my 93 corolla to jdm headlights which use h4 bulbs (which contain both high/low in 1 bulb).. My car (being American) uses 9006 for lows & 9005 for highs. When the high beams were switched on, the lows stayed on also (from factory). I can wire them to do both at the same time but the bulb explodes due to heat. How do I use an h4 bulb and use high or low beam at seperate times?

when i say anything goes, i mean it! JDM, OEM, American, Italian, etc… i just want a new powerhouse and i am not going to install a turbo unless there isnt any other better engine out there!

car no more… i went with shiestbub/bubble bcuz 1. i could be very shy
@ times.. and reserved and bubble or bub bcuz i keep everything inside
and once i pop evrything comes out.. and if i start something new like a
new style of clothing i kno that its gonna bubble meaning expand n get

does anyone know what year civics these engines are in? I went to Honda’s website for Canada and the 2008 civic is an i vtec but only puts out 190 hp. I’m pretty sure that the jdm version is 220 hp (or something like that). Lastly, if one of these engines are found in a crv. Is jdm’s i-vtec the only one that puts out 220 hp? If anyone could help that would be great because i have been trying to research this for days and I’m just going in circles. Thanks
Thank you all. And thank you very much honda for that extra info. I was looking for a generally cheap and upgradable engine swap and I took a quick look at the b20. It looks a lot better for me, and cheaper! I’ll certainly look into it more! Thanks
